Swansea overview

Swansea Travel Guide
Swansea is a seaside town between Cardiff, the Welsh capital, and the pig’s snout – the south-western tip of Wales. It was referred to as ‘The Gateway to West Wales’ and is best known for its long beaches and rugged coastline nearby, making it a popular draw for families and coastal hikers. Swansea also comes with some of the UK’s best surf and is near to the beautiful Gower Peninsula. As far as the city goes, it is strewn over a hillside and is one of the largest in Wales, although lacks in the character department. Put it this way; people come to Swansea for its coast, not for the town. If you do venture into town, be sure to check out Castle Square, the liveliest part.
